Grief comes in all different shapes and forms. From anger and sadness, to relief, peace, and guilt, grief can be challenging to deal with. As a person who has struggled with my own grief, I found that writing letters expressing how I felt, became extremely helpful. It was challenging to write my own letters to things and people I was grieving and I often felt uncomfortable. This was often because these emotions I was writing about were things I was trying to let go of, and it felt that by keeping the letter, I was holding onto those emotions. So I created a P.O. Box for others to anonymously send their letters of grief to.
When the letter is received, it will be kept private and not be read by anyone. It will be immediately put into a shred pile. The letter will then be shredded and put into a container with water, where these letters will be turned into fresh paper for art work to be created on. Each piece of paper will be turned into something new and beautiful and then will be sold back on the letters of grief website to help keep the P.O. box open and keep in stock the supplies needed.
